One of the highlights of the year for the staff is the Bastille Festival in Franschhoek.
A part of the Festival is the Walk to Freedom, which starts at the Victor Vesteer Prison (where Nelson Mandela was released), and goes past the Lynx Farm and into Franschhoek. Some of the farms participate by building floats towed behind a tractor.
